Job Title: Admissions Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Admissions Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing a robust admissions framework for the College, including the creation of systems, processes, and procedures, the development of an admissions policy, the identification and benchmarking of entry qualifications relevant to the healthcare sectors, and the analysis of market trends to inform portfolio and curriculum development. You will also ensure a smooth and efficient experience for prospective students from initial enquiry through to enrolment.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience managing admissions in the UK higher education sector. They will be committed to adopting and developing good practices and will be keen to innovate to meet the specific needs of our college.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Proven experience in admissions within a UK higher education environment.

Proven experience of managing UCAS Admissions and the preparation and submission of UCAS reports

Self-starter with a commitment to developing innovative practices suitable for the College.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive market insights.

Expertise in strategy and policy development, and the creation of operational systems and procedures.

Good understanding of admissions in relation to the OfS regulatory framework.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience with admissions software and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Understanding of AI capabilities to support admissions systems and processes.

Knowledge of market demand in healthcare professions.

Experience in developing new operational systems and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage a robust admissions framework for the College, including systems, processes, and procedures.

2. Create and implement an admissions policy.

3. Identify and benchmark entry qualifications relevant to the healthcare sectors and analyse market trends to inform portfolio and curriculum development.

4. Conduct market analysis and develop insights.

5. Develop data tools to track the admissions journey and monitor applicant conversion from enquiries to enrolment.

6. Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing Manager and the Student Engagement Officer to recommend interventions to improve applicant conversion.

7. Analyse admissions data to identify trends and improve processes.

8. Work with academic faculty and the Strategic Marketing Manager to develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit prospective students.

9. Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the admissions process.

10. Maintain accurate records and data related to admissions.

11. Organise and participate in open days, fairs, and other recruitment events.

12. Line-manage the Student Engagement Officer.

13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.


Contract Type: Permanent, employed.

Location: York (Hybrid).

Hours: Part-time (0.8 FTE). Occasional weekend work required for introduction/open days.

Salary: Grade 6: £36,924 - £39,105 (pro-rata).

Reports to: The Principal & CEO.

Start Date: February 2025 or earlier.
